Broadband bundles
A broadband bundle is the packaging of broadband with other products including telephone, tv and/or mobile into one package.
The advantages of buying a bundled package is that you get a discount for buying more than one service from the same provider.
These broadband providers want you to buy more than one service from them as it will make you more likely to remain with them and will increase the income they receive from each customer. They also get the benefits of having only one billing relationship which will save interal costs.
The more services you purchase from one service provider the higher your potential savings are.
Their are now a large number of providers offering bundles including PlusNet, Sky, Tiscali and Carphone Warehouse.
Bundling broadband has arisen from growing competition between the traditional operators such as BT, cable companies like Virgin and Sky and the newer internet companies.
